Social Media 2012

There is no doubt that social media has become a part of our lives and it is here to stay. Moreover, most of us cannot imagine a day without using it. Social media certainly brings convenience and easiness to our communication process. Thus, infinitely popping social-media "gurus," "ninjas," and "experts" tirelessly preach their know-how of making it work for everyone.

But does it?.. Besides obvious benefits, social media has drawbacks and misfits, of which we (especially, marketers and PR people) should be aware... Why not recognize them through the prism of this funny video?

Merry Christmas 2012!

Merry Christmas, everyone! It took me a while to overcome a period of anabiosis that followed yesterday's dinner to post this today! But better late than never. And, besides, it is still the 25th, so I am making it.

I hope you all got what you had deserved... Eh, I meant presents, if you thought of something else. I also wish you luck, prosperity, and joy in the upcoming 2013! Spend it well, folks!

And check out the Christmas celebration around the world in photos. You'll find some cool and funny pics in there.

Ho-ho-ho!

Hello, Spider Squirrel!

While at my desk this morning, I suddenly heard a continuous grappling sound behind the window glass. A squirrel, climbing the screen mesh, came to see me. It first went up the screen, then down, then toward me and stared.

If it could, it would have probably said "hello." But it carried something in its mouth - perhaps, a mushroom - and seemed smarter than the Aesop's crow.

Tired of our staring contest, the squirrel bailed out shortly after. The way, it comfortably crawled the netting, made me think of a spider. And there it was - the Spider Squirrel.
