"Telephone." American Soldiers In Afganistan Go Gaga

Being in a war zone takes its toll on you. Stress, exhaustion, and pain are daily companions of our guys out there. Remarkably, but rather than becoming despondent, the soldiers of one of the U.S. units, stationed in Afganistan, show a great presense of mind by shooting a funny video remake of Lady Gaga's "Telephone" clip. It was posted on Youtube on April 23, 2010, and was seen by more than 200,000 viewers.

After he had posted the video, the 24-year-old soldier and the amateur video director, Aaron Melcher, included the following note:

"This is a couple of guys located in Afghanistan, that re-made the music video by Lady Gaga... Telephone. Prepare yourself for a fantastical journey. Right now, this is the temporary version, we have more scenes to cut, and to edit; however, with guys always on mission it is harder to film than you think."

It seems that the soldiers, burdened by their duty, are, nevertheless, in such high spirit that they want to develop this success further. The lighthearted entertainment not only has delighted their families, but has assured the nation that the "job" in Afganistan can and will be done.

I look forward to see more from them both on the stage and on the battle field! God Bless, fellas!
